Her first trophy. "Mom, can you believe they gave out trophies this time instead of medals?" My daughter has earned several medals, but this was her first trophy. She finally decided that she wants to play soccer after years of tagging along to her brother's practices and games. She's somewhat of a homebody - loving to be home and finding plenty to do here. She's also busy with Girlscouts, piano lessons and lots of seasonal activities at school. When this short 6-week spring soccer session came up, she decided to go for it and loved it. We will definitely be signing her up for the fall league.

Hooray for your daughter. I love to see girls playing sports now. It wasn't done much when I was a girl. Tennis and volleyball were mostly it. My son played soccer for years and loved it. Baseball too and basketball! He received a lot of trophies and treasured them when he was small. Once our house was broken into. The first thing he did was run into his bedroom. He came out and said "Whew, at least they didn't get my throphies!"

Sounds like she's learned the talent of multi~tasking! She must know all the ins and outs of the game too! Her teamates are gonna be lucky to have her on their side!! Yeah for her! So when she scores...are you one of those moms who jump up and down while simultaneously doing the sprinkler dance? Cuz I know that would totally be me!!! ~C~

so proud for Taylor! Give her a hug from me and tell her to keep at it for all the girls who never had the courage to go out for sports. Yeah Tay!!!
