Rhode Island was amazing to say the least. These resort-sized homes were summer homes built during the gilded age. The tour guide for The Breakers, which was the Vanderbilt's summer home, said that there were no taxes at the time. Can you imagine getting to keep all of the money you made and not pay taxes on your home or anything that you bought?? The architecture was incredible. We weren't allowed to take any photos inside the house or I would be able to show you the mosaic tile work on their floors and ceilings.

So glad you and Mark were able to get away together. Taking the time and effort to make these plans is such a great example of keeping your marriage a priority in such busy times. Are you thinking of doing a special album?

Cindy, I'm really enjoying your neat photos!!! Sean went to the homecoming dance last night with his girl-----------friend Brianna. Sean wore a shirt and tie and Brianna wore a pretty dark blue shimmery halter dress--ugh!, with her hair in an updo. She looked gorgeous of course--double ugh! Sean looked very handsome (of course I'm just a little bit biased). They went to California Pizza Kitchen before the dance with some other kids. We took lots of pictures of course :) Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Laurie
