Karla is hosting what we love about our holiday home. I love my red and white kitchen table at Christmas. I'm always on the look out for more red and white candy ornaments and adornments.

Our dining room is just a tad more formal. I love the ornaments and garlands on the chandelier and my new glass jars filled with berries and silver stars from Pottery Barn.
I found this fun children's cabinet from a thrift store earlier this year. I brought it inside from my daughter's play house to match my red and white kitchen decor.

My Grandmother's "Cooky Book" is displayed there. I'll never forget the years I spent staying over night at her house once each Christmas break. She let me choose a recipe from this book and we would bake cookies together. I cherish this cookbook.
I hung my new "Glitterville" candy garland and my daughters handprint wreath on my pantry door. Love them both.
My family just started me on this Department 56 North Pole series. It is so fun to add more pieces to.
My grandmother's chair that was my favorite as a child next to the collection of angels my sweet mother gave to me.

I love that cook book! My mom used it when I was little (in the 60's), and I bought a copy in 1980 after I got married. I have since bought copies for each of my kids... and their friends as wedding gifts. My favorite recipes are the chocolate crinkles, chocolate chip cookies, and the brownies. Yum!

Wow, I to have wonderful memories of the same cookie book! My Mom and sister who have both passed away would always bake tons of cookies each holiday together! I was very small and would watch, sample and love pouring over the wonderful cookie pictures! I still have their original copy with personal notes inside and will forever cherish that special cook book and all the wonderful childhood and holiday memories! Happy Holidays Lori

I think it is so nice to hear that you have nice memories of your grandmother, and these nice things to remember them by. I bet she would really enjoy the thought of that.
I have a lot of red and white in my kitchen too, and it's a wonderful combination for decorating this time of year. All of your decorations are really lovely. I've enjoyed seeing them very much.
Thank you for the tour!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. I especially am partial to the candy ornaments as I have a ton of them in my gingerbread kitchen. Everything is just lovely.
